Introducing the new MyHost

We've been working hard on bringing you a new and improved MyHost. See why we decided to make the change and what this means for you.

Over the last few months we have been working on merging two of our brands, MyHost and WebSliceNZ to bring you a new and improved MyHost. This hasn’t been a decision we decided on a whim and we wanted to give you insight into why we decided to make the change.

You may (or may not) know that we are part of a family of New Zealand owned and operated companies including MyHost, WebSliceNZ, SiteHost, and Domains Direct. All our brands are run, maintained and supported by the same team, working with the same infrastructure.

Over the years, more people (like you) have trusted us with their hosting and we have grown our team and brands. We’ve always prided ourselves on providing professional, reliable hosting and the best support to our customers as possible. As we grew we found ourselves running similar systems, which can take our focus away from doing what really matters - making your hosting as fast and reliable as we can.

We’ve seen an opportunity to simplify our systems and consolidate two similar companies. By doing this, we are freeing up more resources to keep improving our products, support and systems for you.

The good news is that while we have a new look, we kept a lot of things the same.

Nothing is changing hands here – it’s the same data centres, same hardware and same wonderful team behind both brands – and we’re not going anywhere.

Now we have that out of the way, let’s take a look at what this change means for you.

For those of you from WebSliceNZ

We have retained the technical systems that you are used to, but are now serving you under the MyHost brand. This means you will mainly only notice a difference in the brand name you are dealing with.

What will change for you:

  • Your hosting and cPanel systems will stay the same but you’ll login directly into WHMCS rather than through our website as you currently do.
  • Various emails and documents such as invoices will look a little different.

Just as important though is what’s not changing:

  • Your hosting and server will stay the same, as will your hosting plan and hosting pricing.
  • Domain pricing isn’t changing.
  • Everything else – this is mainly a branding change for you and we don’t expect any changes to your hosting or workflows.

For those of you from MyHost

You will see a few more changes such as:

  • A new look for MyHost
  • You’ll now login to the new system using your email address.
  • Your MyHost Control Panel will change to a different system (WHMCS). Your hosting and cPanel systems will stay the same however. This system is more powerful and flexible, and we know from its history and current customers that it’s easy to use. But it will be a change which we know can be challenging.
  • Various emails and documents such as invoices will look a little different.
  • A small shift in your billing date, from the 25th of the month to the 22nd.
  • New products. You now have access to a wider range of hosting options in one place. If you would like to consider your options, give our team a call for expert advice.

What’s not changing:

  • Your hosting and server will stay the same, as will your hosting plan and hosting pricing.
  • Your password will stay the same to login.
  • Your domains will stay at their current prices.
  • There are no changes to your chosen payment method.
  • The team and company behind MyHost are not changing. Your support tickets will still go to the same people.

We're still here for everyone

While change is good, we know it can be difficult. As always our team will be here and ready to support you through this change with answer questions you may have. We hope you are as excited about this new chapter for MyHost as we are. We look forward to providing you with the best hosting experience possible today and in the future.
